Hello everyone! I wanted to share this information, as I feel now would be an appropriate time for an honest update on my second book of The Kitsune Chronicles: The Soul Flame.
It is very close to being finished, already planned for being over 300 pages (most likely much longer), and in the final three chapters of the plot twist followed by bittersweet conclusion. I have been working hard on this title, and must also admit, the experience has been a sweetly breath of fresh air for me. The book deals not only with grief, loss, and trauma, but also accepting who you are now, were before, and are becoming. This is why the book is truthfully taking so long to complete. It is a completely alternate rendering of my original sequel and includes many new and diverse characters and subjects as well as new plot line.
I ask you all to continue being patient with me, and I also want to thank you for your being so amazingly understanding. I am trying to release a few books this year, not only my whimsical fox-related series. I will post more on these titles and subjects later. Right now, let’s focus on Book Two: The Soul Flame.
I cannot give you an exact estimate on the second book's release date yet, but will say, I am continuing at a progressive and decent pace among all projects. Also, I will be having it professionally edited before publication, as are all of my unique titles. Thank you once again for being so patient and understanding! One thing I absolutely love about writing The Kitsune Chronicles is the development and growth you see throughout not only Audrie’s character, but her family as they come to know her. Not only do their choices, wisdom, advice, and experiences affect her, but Audrie’s innocent world and imaginative coping methods affect them as well. They begin to see this alternate hidden world they think they know through undiscovered light, and remember a human part of them they long ago forgot. I think this is one reason the focus on family works so well in the series. You grow alongside your favorite characters and learn about a secretive universe lost in time. The biggest joy I can receive as the author, is knowing people are simply enjoying the world I created and curious and learning while they read. That is my biggest hope!
The Kitsune Chronicles - Updates!
Hello there! My name is Christie, but my old pen name is C. N. Christensen. I am the author of The Kitsune Chronicles book series, and felt it was time I notify my readers of some upcoming changes for the series… literally.
I am switching publishers, and in doing so, am also updating the current manuscript with revisions, giving more focus on emotional development and healing through positive relationships. So far, my proofreaders have loved the changes and are looking forward to the new plots! I hope you do, as readers, as well. I promise to always keep you guys in mind with every word and chapter I write and edit of this intense series.
I will be introducing new characters and further elaborating on other existing ones. The new books will also have alternate endings, with a much wiser purpose and less physical conflict. Can you tell, I’m trying to avoid spoilers? Ha, ha, ha! 
Anyway, to conclude this small blog update…
I hope you guys remain patient and accept my dearest apologies for how long these publications are taking. This was a recent decision I made after the books became emotionally difficult for me to write due to personal problems with my real life relationships, many of which are reflected in the original stories.
